Property managers have a tough gig. Our job has some structure (Routine inspections, rent reviews, lease renewals…) but the majority of our work is reactive. (Tenant rings up no hot water, fix it now…)
So how does one handle this and not burn out? For me, exercise. If I’ve had a pretty trying day, I go for a run. Well… I call it a run. Started in January 2016 (at max could do 30 seconds) and now, I’m up to 2.75km straight. Sense of achievement, makes me feel better afterwards, the goal is 5km by the end of the year, wish me luck!
